I would like a laptop hard drive that is 7,200 RPM and has 4GB of flash memory on-board.
Would it eat up battery life? Sure, a bit.
Is that flash memory overkill? Not really, if what I have seen from ReadyBoost.
Is there a market for this? It might be a niche market, but I'd pay the extra money for it.
I would also like a motherboard with 4GB of flash memory onboard for ReadyBoost, but it sounds like the new Intel motherboards are going to have something like that soon.
I am always worried I'm going to snap off my USB thumbdrive.
