How many people are there with real world, production usage of WS2008?
Obviously some internal Microsoft people, and the WS2008 TAP partners, everyone else will just have had a test setup and played around with it.
I've been running it since it branched from the Vista beta, so I might be a special case, but more and more people are using it in test environments for future production work.
Heck, microsoft.com runs off IIS 7.0 now. Sure, they are a special case too, but I like keeping up to date with the latest betas. It is currently a beta exam for a beta OS, but I really like the price of the exam if you take it during the beta period. $0. Only thing you need to invest is your time and knowledge.
Yeah, i'm using it in Testing Network too (that's why i explicitly mentioned "Production").
But my testing environments usually come nowhere close to the business problems faced in productions environment - or maybe i'm just not good enough at setting up test networks. I do wonder if i'll pass, though - can't hurt.
A lot of times I take the beta exams to see what type of questions are on there. If by chance I fail the beta exam, when I retake it and actually have to pay for the released exam, I have a vague idea of what to study and where my weak spots were.
The only beta exam I ever failed was 70-262: LCS 2005, which to date has been the hardest TS exam I've taken. Very tricky questions, but in a good way. I'm sure you will do fine. I am curious how well I do. |
