I cannot figure out how to enable URL links in chat. Since there is very little documentation on this topic I thought I might ask you. I’m not even sure how to properly apply the group policies. Any help would be great. Does the .adm file go on one the the DC’s or the OCS 2K7 Server? I have tried several times using the policy on both server types with no success. I have tried doing a full Windows logoff and logon to get new policies but they just don’t seem to apply. What am I doing wrong?
I've been looking for the answer to this as well. I've played with the IMF settings and I can get the filtering to work and the warning messages to display, but even with all filtering turned off, URLs are still converted to text and have to be cut and paste into a brower.
You must activate it on the server side and on the client side. Server side on the front end server and edge server. Then you must add a registry key to each client.
To enable clickable urls you can use GPO or 1. Open registry editor and go to the following registry entry: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Communicator 2. Add the following key EnableURL (Type:DWORD), value can be either 0 (URL will appear as plain text) or 1 (makes URL clickable) 3. Exit and Restart Communicator. |
