BDD 2007 - How Ben Hunter (who works for MS) installs, builds and uses it - step by step

A very good blog post that points out potential pitfalls and a little bit of 'best practice' advice for deployments. Very handy to keep bookmarked for anyone just learning how to use BDD or for the seasoned veteran that is looking for some helpful tips.

Note: "Builds" are going away in the next version of BDD (Business Desktop Deployment), but that is not a bad thing.

We use BDD corporately using Windows XP SP2 on in particular, Dell Latitude D520 and D530 laptops. Because the latter uses SATA technology and the former does not, if you apply the D520 image to the D530 or vice versa, the PC gets caught in a pre-OS loading reboot loop the same as when the Windows PE 2.0 bug fix is absent which it is not. Can anyone help????? Thanks.
