Hum - that band in the Cadillac commercial you never heard but should have

If you are wondering what that 5 second soundbite is at the end of the recent red Cadillac commercial, it is part of Hum's "Stars" off of their "You'd prefer an Astronaut" album.

I like their "Downward is Heavenward" album a bit more and regard it as their masterpiece.

As you can probably tell from those videos, they played rather loud live and put on quite a good show.
It is true that Matt Talbott looks a lot like an early Bill Gates in the 120 Minutes videos too.

Thanks for bringing that up. I intend to dust off my copy of "Astronaut" and give it a listen again. It is nice to know that Hum has not dropped completely from the collective consciousness.

Hum Reunion shows: 12/31/2009 and 1/1/2009 at the Double Door in Chicago, IL. Tickets for the 1/1/2009 show went on sale today.
