I can tell you from first-hand early adopter experience. I bought the hype of promises of high transfer rates and exceeding low error rates and I have gone through five different SATA drives in the past few years.
![]() There are quality issues in both drives and controllers and as we have discussed. I have faith in the SATA spec. Faith in reliable hardware dwindles. If only high transfer SCSI was more economical... |
