Looks like what we ended up with was a 1-year trial license version of the Windows Server and the Windows SQL Server 2008 - the first is labeled Promotional Edition / One Year Evaluation License, although a Microsoftie at the event said that the license would not time out/lock up, but that we would merely be out of license to use the product at that time.
The voucher for SQL Server 2008 also says 'evaluation-only' copy of the Standard Edition.
Visual Studio 2008 Standard Edition w/MSDN library appears to come without any strings, however, as well as a copy of Vista Ultimate w/SP1 (also not for resale) seems to have been intended as a thank you for Feedback forms (but given out without them).
Also included were Windows Mobile 6 Developer Resource Kit and Trial and Resource Kit for MS Forefront and System Center.
