Upgrade Symantec Antivirus, get STOP 8E blue screen

Although the official blog doesn't mention it, this seems to be affecting people upgrading to the newest version of Symantec Anti-Virus. So far, there isn't a clear-cut fix but this is something to be aware of.

Do you have a link to the original blog posts? Do you have any updates on this and has Symantec addressed this issue yet? It looks like this is another in the series of Blue Screens of Death that Symantec has had over the years..to note 2003, 2006, and 2007.

Do a Google search or Live search for "Stop 8E Symantec" and it should pull up a few ongoing threads. I don't have any links handy but it is just another reason I am personally using Symantec Corp AV/etc less and less.
