Open the Virtual Network Editor as Administrator (Use RunAS)
Goto Host Virtual Adapters and remove all that are there Apply Add New and Assign it VMnet1 Apply Select Host Virtual Networking TAB Click the > next to VMnet1 and change the Address & Subnet to your local network (i.e. 192.168.53.0 / 255.255.255.0 Apply Goto the NAT Tab and Select VMNet1 EditClcik Edit and change Gateway to your Gateway IP Apply / Restart Goto DHCP Tab Add VMNet1 and remove all others Apply Select Properties of VMNet1 in DHCP Tab Enter a Start and End Address for DHCP Scope Click OK / Click Apply Select Host Only Networking for VM Everything should be automatic from there
Thanks a lot, that has finally enabled my Windows 7 box to give me acces to a Windows 2008 server VM used in a VMWare Player...
