Need more datapoints - are you having trouble playing back DVDs in Windows 7 build 7000?

Assuming you have supported video drivers and sound drivers for Windows 7, is anyone out there having trouble with DVD playback? Please let me know. I'm collecting data on a potential emerging issue and am trying to figure out the common cause/configuration involved.

Personally, I don't have any issues, which makes it hard for me to repro locally here!

I haven't had any issues. It's been working on my i7 Desktop and my Sony VIAO VGN-FW140D. Haven't tried Blu-Ray yet on my laptop.

I was happy to find out that 7 plays DVDs natively. What a pain this has been in the past and I never understood why it wasn't included before. I haven't had any issues here.

I'm surprised the EU is actually letting Microsoft do this!! I swear it's their goal for Microsoft to rip everything out of their OS. --- Internet Explorer, Windows Media Player, Windows Messenger ....

LOL

I laugh when people say Microsoft isn't innovative. Every time they are EU tells them the can't do that because they are a monopoly and then they try and sue them. Sorry about the rant.
