I did a clean install and I have the desktop.ini on my desktop and it opens as soon as I log in. Never seen that one before.
Thanks for the info on the Messenger. It happened on my friends Machine. BTW - Do you know how to enable Windows 7 to show Windows 2003 & 2008 Shares without the machine being part of the domain? I noticed on the newest build that those don't show up unless you become part of the domain.

Great fix for the 8e5e0645 error! I actually had the same thing happen to me, but unfortunately hadn’t found your fix beforehand. Have you made mention of this in any feedback to Microsoft yet? It’ll help when the Beta move along down the line. Cheers, Ron Windows Outreach Team |
