I'm a sucker for rock, especially guitar rock that has actual guitar solos and attitude. You might remember them for their infamous "I love the Rogaine! I love the Rogaine!" song from years ago but their new album is 3x better than their debut. I saw them open up for Monster Magnet right before Buckcherry imploded after 'Timebomb' and Dreamworks Records fizzled.

I've got the Japan release of '15' that came out late last year and the album is finally reaching the states as a non-import this upcoming month. Not a bad track on the whole album, and that is rare these days.

I'm not getting anything out of this, heck, I don't even know if I'd be able to go to the show, but any band that does 'guitar rock' needs all the help they can get these days to stay signed on a label and supported. I would hate to see this band go down in flames like Injected did when Island Records refused to release their followup to 'Burn it Black'. I'm still bummed about that one. They are another great band that deserves a lot of airplay, and to be played loud.

I really hope and wish they come to the Grand Rapids, Michigan area. I would be able to go for sure that way. The closest tour date is in Detroit at the very unsafe Harpo's.

I have a feeling these statistics on the side of the blog won't be accurate until this new version of the blogging software has ran for a while. I'm on the bleeding edge release (snapshot from today) so I'm hoping most of my plugins work as expected.

Thanks to a friend of the server, the RAM on the donated server will go from 256MB to around 1.25GB soon. That will allow me to un-tweak the web server a bit. It is amazing this site, plus about 11 others, used to run on a dual PPro. I had it super-tweaked for pumping packets out, so most people didn't have a clue. Only time you would really notice is when you uploaded megs upon megs of pictures to the galleries.

Tried to make things a little less cluttered around here - also discovered that Google Local doesn't seem to like taking 'comments' anymore so I stripped them from the GeoURL code. I might have broken other things in the process, but it's 3am and I need to sleep. I hate falling asleep on the couch prematurely, only to wake up in the middle of the night.

They are being strongarmed by Clear Channel it looks like. I don't subscribe to them or Sirius but stuff like this will just slow the adoption, I think.
