This is just a heads up for anyone that follows this blog. I'm in Redmond working on a very cool project for the next two weeks. A lot of very long hours, but I'm doing something I've always wanted to do, and am learning quite a bit in the process.
I wish I could be less vague than that, but for now that will have to do.
The only bummer so far is being away from my wife, kids and cats.
A cool sidenote: I was able to build a full functional Windows Longhorn Core server that used less than 1GB of drive space and about 150MB of RAM while running on my laptop. I see this is a good thing overall. You might see more Core specific contents on here soon. I am really liking the stripped down server. I feel at home on the command line.
If you really want to push the envelope with your VMs, drop the memory given to each Longhorn instance after installation and see how many you can launch side by side.
