To be eligible to receive Cinemax for the next 12 months for just a penny you have agreed to sign up for AutoPay with Paperless Billing. You will continue to receive Cinemax for 12 months for a penny until January 31, 2010 as long as you keep AutoPay with Paperless Billing. If you remove AutoPay with Paperless Billing you must call within 30 days to remove Cinemax from your account to avoid the $5 downgrade fee and to avoid paying normal price for Cinemax programming. Annual Cinemax for a penny does not package with other premium channels, such as HBO, Showtime, or Starz.

Many people use their computers for important work, but sometimes it is nice to kick back and get a little goofy. I can see many prank uses and legitimate uses for this software. Fun to play with.

If you are wondering what that 5 second soundbite is at the end of the recent red Cadillac commercial, it is part of Hum's "Stars" off of their "You'd prefer an Astronaut" album.

I like their "Downward is Heavenward" album a bit more and regard it as their masterpiece.

As you can probably tell from those videos, they played rather loud live and put on quite a good show.
It is true that Matt Talbott looks a lot like an early Bill Gates in the 120 Minutes videos too.

Very cool idea from a very cool band. Most people know them from their major label debut "Sister Sweetly" but there are many other great CDs by them that came out before and after that album.

Useless fact: My wife's first concert with me was a Big Head Todd concert for the 'Riviera' album at Clutch Cargo's in Royal Oak, Michigan in 2002. I can't believe that was 5 years ago already.

My 2002 Dell E171FP (Samsung TN panel) 17 inch LCD is going to my kids for a Dell UltraSharp 2707WFP (Samsung S-PVA panel) 27 inch LCD.

2007 has been a crazy year without anytime to sit down and enjoy the madness. I'm hoping 2008 is a little less hectic.

Sidenote: An absolutely amazing amount of good technical information on just about every LCD on the market, ranked by "Use Profile", can be found here. LCDs are ranked for office work, hardcore gaming, general multimedia use, print-target media processing, and photo editing/web design.

For a long time I have browsed the Lenovo Surplus store but never bought anything, until today.

You know you are growing older and more responsible when you buy your two daughters a new ThinkCentre M55e desktop and your wife a new ThinkCentre M55p small form factor PC, but nothing for yourself. Everyone in my family has better desktop than I do now. Dual core and 64-bit capable. That is OK though because I use my work Thinkpad T60 laptop for 99% of what I do these days.

Even though Sabrina is only 5 years old and Sabrina is 3 years old, this is actually their second PC. Their first computer was an old Compaq laptop that died a horrible death last year.

Although, I do plan on giving Sabrina and Juliana my current LCD monitor, so I do have a good excuse for getting a new LCD for my desktop system.

Plus, I get to reclaim Cassandra's old PC for "special projects", otherwise known as the "Windows Home Server / XBox Media Center Extender / VMWare ESX Server" project. My goal is to go DVD-less in the living room due to the kids destroying their DVD movies with scratches.

Overall, I made out pretty well, indirectly.

If I had ordered identically configured systems on the non-Surplus store, I would have paid about ~$2250 instead of the ~$1000 I paid for these. As a bonus, they are ready to ship because they do not need to be assembled. Free shipping right now too.

The outlet currently seems to have really good deals on Thinkpad T61 and T60 laptops - ~$700 for T60 laptops and ~$1000 for T61 laptops.
