I can verify this or something similar. I've got an IMAP server (kerio) running behind a Linksys WRT54G (DD-WRT SP3 firmware) at home. I'm testing Vista RTM at work and can't reliably access my IMAP server from Vista using either Thunderbird (which actually crashes) or Windows Mail (just times out.. occasionally gets an email or a header)
Local IMAP to my work Cyrus IMAP server works fine in both clients. Disabling auto-tuning as described has not helped... though I haven't rebooted yet. If a reboot works, I'll post again.
after hours of looking for solution, this hit the spot. we have an RV042 and ultimate vista. havent upgraded the firmware yet. thanks for the post.
Am i supposed to put that line into DOS prompt or something? if so, it gave me a line saying "request needs elevation"
*grumlbes* stupid Vista...
"Request needs elevation" means you need to run it with admin rights. Launch CMD with administrator rights - easiest way is to enter 'cmd' into 'Start Search', hold down [ctrl]-[shift] and hit [Enter].
