If you were to tell me that I'd be in Texas today, last week, I would have said you were crazy because we are just wrapping up a major project at work, but alas, here I am. I'm flying back to Michigan today and hopefully I won't get hassled by the airport people because I am drinking a beverage in the non-secured drop off area. Strange but true, I got really yelled at for drinking a soft drink at the Gerald R Ford international airport on Thursday.
I would expect something like that if I were trying to board an airplane with a drink but I was just minding my own business with my bags, waiting to get checked in. They questioned my ability to read and also questioned if I thought I was better than anyone else. I just kind of looked at them and said, "Uhhh, sorry, I didn't know it applied out here, I'll throw it away, no big deal."
If I had been cocky or stand-off-ish, I would understand the hostility but really, I was just standing there in line, sort of spacing out after a really long week.
I've never been to Texas, outside of driving through the panhandle a long time ago, so all of this is pretty new to me.
