Hi, I come to your page while searching for support on exchange server 2007. And as your articles/posts suggest you are an expert in Microsoft Exchange, I thought i can ask my question here.
I am working for a phone Os company and we want to add support for Exchange Active Sync (http://www.microsoft.com/presspass/press/2008/dec08/12-18EASLicencingPR.mspx?rss_fdn=Press%20Releases) I want to know: 1. if we have a working Exchange server installed and used to outlook/emails, then can we use that for development/testing of exchange active sync protocol. Basically, If I have just exchange server installed, do i need any other license to start development on exchange-active sync support on our device. We assume that we may need some licence when we ship this software on our device? 2. Also, does microsoft provide any low level APIs or libraries to implement this exchange-active sync protocol on phone. Or we have to implement it from scratch (the whole stack for protocol on device/phone side). Any idea of what is available and what needs to be developed if we have to support this protocol on device. Please help me find proper contact/email-id if you do not cover this information area. thanks regards shashikant |
